Karin Kytökangas, 1991, from Vetlanda, Sweden, lives in The Hague, The Netherlands. Works within an autonomous art practice with painting, sculpture, and wordplay. Through boundless experimentation and playfulness, our big universal thoughts and questions ARE BEING EXPLORED. The outcome is a comical existential dread wrapped in
everyday and concrete imagery.
studied Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague from 2016 til 2020 and is one of the recipients of Dutch the one-year 'Artist Start Grant' from the Mondriaan Funds.
Kytökangas is also a part of the Association for the Palliative Turn, which is a group of artists, scientists, therapists, and more who investigates whether the attitude in palliative care can be used in fields such as art and life philosophy.
